3D laser scanning is a useful tool to capture the geometry of any given object to a high degree of accuracy. Using point cloud technology, we capture a set of data points of any given object and then process the data to create a 3D model in CAD for re-designing and manufacturing purposes. It is an industry norm that accurate manufacturing drawings are not always available to mine sites. Often the equipment on-site has been altered over the years or reverse engineering needs to be done to design new equipment.
Our design team will work with you to create a reliable solution and improve plant performance whether you are planning a new project or improving on existing equipment. Using this technology, we can guarantee fitment of our products. Our extensive experience in all aspects of project management, engineering, procurement and manufacturing allows CUMI (Australia) to provide the best total project solutions from conceptual design all the way through to commissioning and ongoing maintenance support.
Service and Features
- State of the art equipment and trained technicians to work on-site, potentially saving downtime costs
- Detailed report complete with measurements and images of the inspection
- Knowledge of the condition of your underground or otherwise inaccessible piping network
Knowledge and visual confirmation of the conditions within any pipe is of critical requirement in order to better manage, predict and resolve potential issues such as blockages and wear of liners. Previously this can be expensive and cumbersome through the physical removal of sections, or ‘cutting and shutting’ to inspect inside. CUMI (Australia) are now excited and privileged to be able to inspect the inners of your piping network with the aid of state of the art CCTV and laser scanning technologies.
Our software, equipment and trained technicians are able to investigate these conditions, identify any worrisome or problematic areas and provide a full detailed report, including pictures and/or video if required. As the camera traverses through your vertical or horizontal pipework, along with a CCTV camera with LED lighting to record the surface and identify any notable features. This data is reported back to the on-site technician with ‘real-time’ results.

Tiling and maintenance services
For the full potential of a quality ceramic lining to be realized, the correct installation methods must be used; this is best done by utilizing CUMI (Australia)'s experienced maintenance and installation teams. We have the resources to rapidly mobilize site crews for field installations and our workshops are well equipped to handle large-scale projects.
Our site services include; repair and relining of pipework, chute maintenance, inspection and repair of cyclones, bolt-in ceramic liner replacements, wear auditing and condition monitoring, internal pipe scan surveys, onsite measurements, 3D scanning and drafting. With a strong culture of safety backed by our robust systems, we take a collaborative approach with end-users to ensure projects are on budget, on time and without incident. Whether you are starting up a new plant or refurbishing an old one, CUMI (Australia) has you covered.
People are our most important asset and their health and safety is our greatest responsibility
CUMI (Australia) Wear Management & Optimization System (WMOS) is an auditing system to identify problematic areas and critical equipment that can be improved by applying better wear materials. As a result, service life of equipment is increased leading to long term cost benefits and considerable direct savings. CUMI (Australia) application engineers and service technicians visit sites regularly across the country for inspection, reporting and problem solving your wear issues.
Our experienced team will work with you to:
- Optimize wear linings
- Materials for extended life cycle of Equipment
- Improve on wear lining designs and applications
- Detailed reporting on current
- Condition on wear linings with Thickness testing and mapping
- Provide innovative solutions to Solve wear problems
- Reduce overall maintenance costs
- Increase plant availability
